Some select pictures from the past few years

The New Mexican years.
August '04 to August '06
Oh how I miss the sunshine, green chile, and desert mountain hikes.

Chaco Canyon Hiking in New Mexico at Chaco Canyon.  Many thanks to my friend Anne Thorne for taking Carly and I to this beautiful desert landscape that once was a great center of Native American culture.
Carly is tearing up the trail here.  We hiked a loop on the Mesa overlooking the ancient ruins, and the was the way to get back down. Carly tearing up the trail
Backyard View This was our backyard in Albuquerque when we moved in.  We loved the view, and after thousands of man hours, we left the landlord with a nice grassy yard to replace the dirt you see here.
The view of Albuquerque from the La Luz trail. Overlook of ABQ
Snowy day Most people who dont know better think Albuquerque's weather is similar to Phoenix's weather. It is actually much better (sorry Brent).  It rarely tops 100 in the summer and we had at least 3 good snows (by southeastern standards) over the 2 winters we were there.  This is the front of our Adobe style house.

Some vacation photos

Bass on the Bass trail Nick Bliss, me, and Ian Cameron toasting our Bass beer deep inside the Grand Canyon on (and off) the Bass trail.  That was a tasty beer.
This was a great trip.  Nick got a back country camping permit, so we drove 22 miles off road to our campsite that was right on the rim of the Canyon.
Carly and my campsite in Estes, Colorado, outside Rocky Mountain National Park. Camping
Carly in the tundra Carly enjoying frigid temperatures in the tundra.  Did I mention that this was taken on July 4th?
Same place and time, only the wildlife in this picture isnt nearly as attractive. KevinCO
